We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired “Word of God”, complete and infallible, and the final and sole authority in all matters of faith and conduct. 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Rev. 22:18,19;
We believe that government is ordained of God to enforce law and order and to restrain evil; government therefore should be supported and obeyed. The call to service in the military forces is to be respected and obeyed with the Biblical limitation to non-combatant service, obeying the instruction of Jesus Christ, “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Matt. 5:43, 44; Matt. 26:52; Rom. 12:17-21; Rom. 13:1-10; 1 Peter 2:13,14; John 18:36; Luke 9:51-56; Matt. 10:16;
We believe in one eternal God, who exists as a Triune Being composed of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Rev. 1:8; Matt. 28:19; Gen. 1:26; 2 Cor. 13:14;
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ and that He is God incarnate. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He suffered, bled and died on the cross, to atone for our sins, and was buried and physically arose from the dead after three days and ascended to the right hand of God in Heaven, where He sits as our Mediator and Advocate. Heb. 1:1-8; Jn. 1:1-3, 14 1 Tim. 3:16a Isa. 7:14 Matt. 1:23 John 14:9 2 Cor. 5:21 I Cor. 15:3-7 Acts 1:9-11 Rom. 8:34 1 Peter 3:22 Heb. 7:25
We believe in the literal, personal, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to this earth, in great power and glory to execute judgment on the ungodly, and to establish His kingdom on earth and to reign, in justice and peace, over all nations of the world. At the consummation of all things, we will be ushered into His eternal kingdom in Heaven. 1 Thes. 4:16-17; 2 Thes. 1:7-9; Jude 14,15; Luke 1:31-33; Dan. 7:13,14; Isa. 9:6,7; Ps. 72:8,11; 2 Peter 3:10-13; 1 Cor. 15:24-26; John 14:2,3
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is a separation from God; that Adam’s sin is imputed to the whole of mankind; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; and that when they reach the state of moral responsibility, become sinners before God, and as such, are bound for Hell and can only be forgiven, pardoned, and saved by repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Rom. 3:10-11,23; Is. 53:6; Is. 64:6; Ps. 51:5; Ps. 58:3; Ecc. 7:20; Rom. 5:12,18,19; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Acts 20:2;
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God and that man is saved by grace through faith, wholly apart from any human merit. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, in our place, and is our substitute, and thus He paid the full penalty for our sins. He who, by faith, receives Him as the Savior of his soul and Lord of his life, is born of God and receives the Holy Spirit, by whom he is baptized into the Body of Christ. Eph. 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Jn. 1:11-13; Is. 53:5,6 1; Pet. 2:24; 1 Pet. 3:18; Rom. 4:4,5; 1 Cor. 12:13;
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, regenerates, baptizes, and enlightens, and by whose indwelling the believer is empowered to live a godly life. He also confers upon each believer spiritual gifts, as He wills, for the edification of the church. Acts 1:4,5,8 2 Cor. 5:17 1 Cor. 12:4-11 1 Cor. 14:12
We believe in the practice of water baptism of the new convert as a symbolic witness to the world, of the death and burial of the old man of sin and resurrection of the new man in Christ. Matt. 28:19; 20 Mark 16:15,16; Rom. 6:3-6;
We believe in the immortality of the soul and the physical resurrection of the body, both the just and the unjust, the saved unto eternal life and everlasting bliss in Heaven, and the lost unto eternal damnation and everlasting punishment in Hell. John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15; Luke 14:14; Rev. 20:4-6;
We believe that the Church is one body, consisting of born-again believers from all nations, regenerated by faith in Christ and purchased by His blood, who assemble together in a local setting for worship and mutual edification and whose primary mission is the propagation of the Gospel. Eph. 4:11-16; Eph. 2:19, 20;
We believe that under any and all circumstances we should speak the truth and should not swear in obedience to the solemn command of Christ: “Do not swear at all; but let your yes be yes, and your no, no.” Matt. 5:34-37; James 5:12;
